John 6

God already knows what we need at every moment but out of reverence and acknowledgement of His authority that we pray and seek Him to provide. We may have doubts to what He's doing but at the end of it all God does everything for our good. He is indeed a good and gracious God.

John 6:27
Do not work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. On him God the Father has placed his seal of approval."

Jesus is the bread of life, as stated later on in the chapter. He fulfills us, He satisfies us, He provides for us. Jesus can give us all that we need yet we continue to fall into the wrong frame that it's things of the world that can satisfy us. We need to put ourselves into the correct mindset and find our full joy and satisfaction in Him. Without Jesus we shouldn't even be here to use the things of the world.

John 6:35
Then Jesus declared, "I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never go hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty. 

John 6:47
I tell you the truth, he who believes has everlasting life.

Have you ever been caught in the fear of dying? Well, that fear can be vanquished in the hope of our God and Lord Jesus Christ. His sacrifice has given us the salvation and freedom from sin, with the additional blessing of obtaining eternal life with our God in His kingdom up in heaven. That's just awesome.

John 6:51
I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever. This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.

Fill us with your Holy Spirit and with the heart and mind like that of Jesus. That is our prayer.
