John 9

John 9:3
" Neither this man nor his parents sinned," said Jesus, "but this happened so that the work of God might be displayed in his life.

This verse was referring to the man who born blind whom Jesus healed. However, this verse can also be applied to many different situations. To me, it helps me understand why sad and unfortunate events may happen, such as natural disasters, wars, or a tough time in one's life. All these things happen so that the work of God can be displayed. Through these tough times we evidently see His grace and love. Sometimes when life seems to be good and well-off we lack the acknowledgement that God is doing His good work in our life.

Open your eyes and do not be spiritual blind to God's goodness in this world and in your life.
