Daniel 9

You read Daniel's emotions and thoughts behind the prayer He gives to the Lord on behalf of Jerusalem. My prayers can't compare, and I wonder why I can't do the same thing with sincerity. Daniel pleads and asks for forgiveness and mercy for things that are way bigger than what I pray about. Not saying that things have to be as big as the desolation of Jerusalem but there are things even deeper and more meaningful that should be brought up to the Lord.

Jerusalem was going to still be in turmoil until Jesus comes.

Be more sincere and thoughtful in prayer. Submit your sins and confessions to God and know that He is the one who grants you holiness and righteousness in His name. Live your life as though Jesus is coming tomorrow. What would you be able to say to Jesus in that time?
