This is the second passage that I really love so far in the book of Romans (the first one was Romans 6:1-14).
Romans 8:28
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
Another school term is about to end. It will be studying everyday for the next two weeks until all exams have finished. My reflection of this term:
Academically- not much particular improvement... actually it's the opposite. I did so much better last year. This year from all the procrastination, laziness, no motivation to work has costed my marks.
Spiritually- significant growth these past couple of months! The passion to pick up my Bible and read the Word each day to see what God has in store for me has been a pleasant surprise for myself. I really do hope that this isn't just a phase, rather that this may become part of my daily routine because I want to do devos rather than have it as an obligation. In addition, just being called and convicted to be a worship leader this year at my fellowship. Feeling the Holy Spirit move in me and to use my (previously unknown haha) gift of singing to help open the hearts of the fellowship so that God can work in them is the highlight of this term.
I know that although academically I've been struggling, I know that God will provide for me. Ask and He will give. One thing to remember is to bring it all back to God. Everything you do should be glorifying to His name.
Romans 8:31
What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?
Don't be ashamed in the Gospel. Don't be afraid to proclaim your faith. I still haven't gotten the chance to go out and do some random evangelizing. I hope that next term I will have an opportunity to do just that. In the meantime, I'm trying to sing praises to my God out in public. Earphones in and when I'm walking down the street, may God just give me the courage and boldness to cry out to Him. Who knows, maybe someone walking by will hear of what I sing and possibly plant a seed in their heart for God.
Paul really encourages me with these verses:
Romans 8:38-39
For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to seaparate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Amen to that! :)
