Isaiah 16:1-5

This passage was confusing for me to understand.

Moab seeks for shelter at Zion, the refuge that the Lord provided to the suffering yet faithful people. Even the wicked like Moab, who once sought for destruction, is coming to the Lord in surrender for a hiding place under the Lord's wing.

God who is the definition of love seeks justice and promotes righteousness. All that He decides and judges is right. All He asks of us is for our faith in Him, our trust in Him, our hopes in Him, and He will make our paths straight, free of the wrath and pain that was originally reserved for us.

Lord of Lords. Jesus Messiah. You reign over us and are sovereign over this world.

Isaiah 16:5
In love a throne will be established; in faithfulness a man will sit on it-- one from the house of David-- one who in judging seeks justice and speeds the cause of righteousness.
