Isaiah 24:14-20

Isaiah 24:14-16
They raise their voices, they shout for joy; from the west they acclaim the lord's majesty. Therefore in the east give glory to the Lord; exalt the name of the Lord, the God of Israel, in the islands of the sea. From the ends of the earth we hear singing; "Glory to the Righteous One."

Is our worship to God like what is described above? Do we sing and shout for the Lord with joy and gladness? Are you ever ashamed and would rather keep to yourself and conserve your worship till some other time? Be a true witness and an ambassador of Christ: one who upholds their faith even among people who don't believe or worse people who try to hurt our relationship with God. Let all things you do be of the Lord's essence. Do you bring glory to the Lord in all you do? Do you exalt and proclaim His name wherever you go? I unfortunately don't but am working towards that.

This joy and praise to God is contrasted with Isaiah's woe for the treacherous people on earth who are consumed by sin. The description and imagery that Isaiah paints is dark and sad. It is so easy to fall into sin and it will trap us like a snare and bring terror as it says. If we continue indulging in our sin, we will never rise again to be righteous in God's eyes. God is so gracious. When He sees us actively pursuing Him, then no matter how many times we stumble while we're on our way to Him He will pick us up and will forgive us for the wrong things we did. That is what a fatherly, heavenly love is like.
