If Jesus did not die on the cross for us, our sin would have consumed us. The world would have been filled with evil.
This passage truly illustrates the Lord's power and wrath o those who disobey and fall into sin. He would have attempted to eliminate the source of sin. This is what should have come upon us, but because of His grace and mercy, He spares us by sacrificing His beautiful Son to take up the sin of humanity unto Himself on the cross. We are standing here because of the cross.
If you truly understand this Gospel message, then turn away from temptations and distractions that may lead you to sin. Do not take Jesus' death for granted.
